Heather has been trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, ballroom, and gymnastics for over 42 years. She has been developing young dancers for over 26 years. Heather currently maintains her training by continually attending professional dance teacher seminars and workshops.
Heather spent over seven years working for Varsity-Universal Dance Association as a head instructor and choreographer; teaching across the United States and still does choreography for UDA, has taught dance in China, and still judges for UDA. She is an experienced judge including judging for the nationally televised ESPN National Dance Championships for several years, as well as judging internationally.
Heather is currently part of faculty in the Dance Department of Dixie State University and teaches jazz, but has also taught social dance and Latin ballroom. She also works with DSU Dance Company where she choreographs for the company. Heather taught jazz at Southern Utah University for over 3 years in their Dance Department and choreographed for the faculty dance concert in which her piece was chosen as “Outstanding Faculty Piece”.
Heather opened On Stage Dance Studio in 1994 in Cedar City. On Stage has become the leader and innovator in teaching technique, artistry, current style, and producing the most technically and well-trained dancers in Southern Utah. On Stage is still moving forward as its staff continually train each year to provide a quality dance instruction. In 2004 On Stage opened their 2nd location in St.George, Utah.

While running On Stage Heather received her Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Southern Utah University. While attending SUU she also was a member of SUU’s Dance Company “Soujourners” and a member of SUU’s Modern Company “Orchesis”, and SUU’s Ballroom Team. Heather also earned her Masters of Business Administration Degree from Utah State University. Heather was a member of SUU Ballroom Company and later competed as a Pro/Am Latin Competitor for three years.
Heather directs, instructs, and choreographs for the companies at On Stage in Cedar and St.George and loves having the opportunity to share her love of dance with her students. “Dance is my life and I am dedicated to my students and their parents in ensuring that they get a quality dance education by teaching and training many of my dancers and also hiring the most professional, talented and educated instructors in Southern Utah because that is what parents deserve in their child’s dance experience. In her little spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, including her two handsome boys Hayden and Hudson.
